Day 1

I went to bed earlier than usually yesterday, in order to start strong today! And it seems to have worked: I lost 1.5 pounds, in 24 hours. It helps to think positively (otherwise, I could simply say that this lost is due tohe normal fluctuation of weight over time!). Anyway; I am now at 8,6 pounds of my final objective. And here is one of my cute little trick:

  • I write, on a post it, in big characters, the number of pounds I still have to loose to reach my goal, and I place it on the fridge. Constant reminder. good idea.
Another good and pretty easy trick: drink water, as much as you can. Today, I drank 2 litres! I like to add some fresh fruits in my water to give it taste (citrus, raspberry, strawberry...). And I leave a pitcher full on the  counter; always ready to use! ps: I do not personally appreciate cold water...

Ok, so here is what I ate today:
  1. breakfast: 1 slice wheat bread with peanut butter, a banana and a big strawberry
  2. Lunch: lentils (a big bowl), a cup of vegetable soup, cucumber and carrots. 
  3. Dinner: chicken with potato, tomato and pepper. And a yogourt. 
  4. Snack: another banana. and 2 latte, one with 2% milk and the other with soy milk.
I also moved today! I went skating with the kids, but it was too cold to say that I really exercise... So I ran 5km at my parent's treadmill. And that was a good workout. I felt so good after (even more after the shower!). 

Oh: and another trick: DO NOT finish the plate of your kids... Carbage will eat it, not you. This is so difficult for me since I hate to waste food. But, I will work hard on giving the right portion's size to my kids...  

Finally, to please me: I asked my boyfriend to take care of the kids alone; and that is how I was able to run... And I also organize my birthday... more to come about it.

I am going to bed early again tonight! See you tomorrow!
